The Force's forward pack continues to grow in depth with former Leicester Tigers backrower Steve Mafi signing with the club for the next two seasons.
Mafi joins the West Australian side after playing for the Leicester Tigers where he started in 2010, winning their 'players' player award in 2012 as well as being a member of the premiership-winning 2012/2013 side.
Australian Rugby Union fans can rejoice at the fact that Mafi was born in Australia, so the Force will have some home-grown talent onboard.
He was a member of the Waratahs squad between 2008 and 2010, and knows what it's like to play in Austrlian Rugby union.
The poweful backrower will bring the size and power the Western Force need and can play in the second-row if need be.
Mafi spoke to the press, saying he's happy to return to Australia and start playing Super Rugby for the Force.
"I've always had an eye on coming back to play Super Rugby and I'm looking forward to working to get my opportunity next season."
Mafi also commented on the style of play in Australia saying he will be looking forward to some running and attacking rugby.
As a natrual Number 6, Mafi will be able to provide minutes of the bench at the start of the season to back up Angus Cottrell if he is healthy.
