The Western Force's International flanker Hugh McMeniman has been suspended after an incident in the first half of last Saturday's win over the Reds.
McMeniman has pleaded guilty to striking Reds fly half Ben Lucas with his knee.
The suspension will last one week as it was seen by officials to be a deliberate use of force. Luckily Lucas did not suffer any injury via the strike; otherwise McMeniman could have been looking at a longer suspension from the game.
For McMeniman this means he will miss the crucial clash against the Brumbies this weekend. He will be forced so sit on the sidelines as the Western Force have a do or die situation in Canberra.
The Force will be playing in a finals like atmosphere against the Brumbies as both sides will try and clinch a finals birth with this win. After a season of ups and downs for the Force they will be trying everything possible to clinch their first ever finals birth.
