'The Honey Badger' Nick Cummins has signed with Japanese side Coca Cola West Red Sparks. This means he will be ineligible to represent the Wallabies next year at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Cummins seems to have opted out of his contract with the Western Force that was due to expire at the 2015 season, allowing him to play in the World Cup.
He will be an enormous loss to Australian rugby and especially to the Western Force fans.
However, the Wallabies do have enough depth in their wingers to make up for his absence when James O'Connor returns to play for the Queensland Reds. Brumbies wingers Joe Tomane and Henry Speight will also be eligible to play for Australia after this year.
In the mean time Cummins will do his best to return from injury and help the Western Force make the playoffs for the first time.
