McCalman in Wallaby Sight

  • McCalman in Wallaby Sight

Ben McCalman has been in career form this season, and it isn't going unnoticed. Last week in Cape Town he was the leader in metres run for the entire game with 81 of 16 runs, busting through four tackles. On the defensive end of the field he put up 15 tackles. His work on the set piece was also remarkable winning three of his own line outs, something the Force have been struggling with over the past few weeks. (All statistics as per http://www.foxsportsstats.com.au/).

This is not just a once off the McCalman who has been putting up similar number all season. With continuous performances like this it is no wonder that people have been constantly pressing the issue that he may become the Wallabies number eight. This will be no easy feet, as he will be competing over a spot with the likes of Rebels number eight Scott Higginbottom who is a standout for his side whenever he takes the pitch.

Here is an interview with the man himself, Ben McCalman by the Western Force's Youtube Channel 'Western Force TV'.
